A fresh start in Gulfport, Florida
Morgan, owner of Heavenly Diner & Donuts, smiling behind the bakery case under the cloud-painted ceiling

The founder

Heavenly Diner & Donuts is Morgan's fresh start. When Hurricane Helene upended her earlier business, she didn't step away from the kitchen — she built a new one.

Grandma's recipes, made from scratch.

Morgan is a seasoned restaurateur, and Heavenly is the place where all three of the things she loves finally sit at the same counter: a case of handcrafted donuts baked every morning, bold Cajun and Southern comfort food cooked the way her family always made it, and a full American breakfast that runs all day.

Nothing here is a shortcut. The jambalaya, the meatloaf, the red beans and rice — they carry family names because they come from family recipes. The donuts are made by hand, in-house, in flavors that change with the day. And the door is open to everyone: parents with kids in tow, regulars who know the gumbo by name, and anyone who wants a good coffee and a warm welcome.

That's the whole idea. Serious cooking, a whimsical smile, and a room in Gulfport where everyone feels at home.
